Dr. Ali Faizal, an alumnus of Calicut Medical College, is a highly experienced interventional cardiologist with over 30 years of expertise. After completing his cardiology training at Bangalore University, he served as a Consultant at the prestigious Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases under the Madras Medical Mission, Chennai.

In 2002, Dr. Ali Faizal played a pivotal role in establishing one of Kerala’s most successful cardiac care programs in Calicut. This initiative included the private sector’s first successful primary angioplasty program for treating myocardial infarction. Under his guidance, the team introduced comprehensive cardiac care services, including heart surgery and heart transplantation, setting a benchmark for other centres.

Dr Ali Faizal has also contributed to super-speciality training in cardiology, mentoring a generation of cardiologists. A pioneer in his field, he currently focuses on adult cardiac interventions and structural heart disease, including valve interventions. He is actively involved in clinical process development and the training of young cardiologists.

Dr Faizal also played a significant role in establishing Meitra as a centre of excellence in healthcare, contributing to the development of clinical services and building a world-class team.
